The WBA’s Next Generation Hotspot (NGH) program aims to deliver a public Wi-Fi experience that is as easy and secure as that experienced on cellular networks. The course will explain how to establish Wi-Fi as a seamless, robust and secure technology to augment and complement 3G and 4G networks for years to come.
Furthermore we will outline how operators and vendors use Next Generation Hotspot capabilities, primarily in operator networks for off-loading and on-loading. We will also describe end-to-end Wi-Fi international roaming using key NGH elements such as Passpoint™ certified equipment supporting 802.11u, 802.1x Wi-Fi networks & EAP authentication methods.
