Loren Braithwaite Kabosha - Chief Executive Officer, South African Communications Forum


Ms Loren Braithwaite Kabosha is the Chief Executive Officer of the South African Communications Forum (SACF), a leading representative of the ICT industry encompassing the telecommunication, electronic, postal, information technology, electronics and broadcasting sectors. A Harvard and Columbia University graduate, Loren has had an illustrious career in ICT policy and development stretching over 20 years. She has been a corporate lawyer, merchant banker, investment company executive and CEO of a company which built telecommunications infrastructure throughout the African continent. Her current national ICT policy portfolio includes providing expertise to: the National Electronic Media Institute of South Africa, the National ICT Policy Review Panel, the National Broadband Advisory Council and as Interim Chairperson of the Economic Chamber of the National ICT Forum. Loren also has a very keen interest in gender issues, and is one of the founding board members of the South African Women in ICT Forum launched in July 2014.
