You already heard about the changes that RIPE NCC plans to implement on their IRR. AFRINIC has already started promoting the AFRINIC IRR and this interactive session has been tailored to equip AFRINIC resource holders with all the required information and support to demystify the AFRINIC IRR. The tutorial shall also provide details on how to avoid any negative impacts from the planned changes by RIPE NCC inline.
Requirements for a person to participate to this tutorial:
- The person should represent an AFRINIC resource holder
- Participant should hold password of the relevant maintainer of the organisation.
- Email from registered contacts to irr@afrinic.net with authorisation to use password of the org maintainer (if the attendee is not a registered contact already).
This session shall focus on basic manipulation of the AFRINIC Whois and mainly around the IRR Attendees shall be able to create and maintain their route objects. Also, they shall be able to request for support during the face to face interaction with the AFRINiC Hostmasters for any special cases relevant to their own network.
The session shall end with spare time for attendees try the actions hands-on for the objects held by their organisation and consequently walk out of the session with their route objects created.
