Fibre to the Home Council Africa

The FTTH Council Africa is a not for profit, independent organisation with a core focus on the fibre optic industry and all stakeholders affected by the industry.

As part of the Fibre Council Global Alliance, FTTH Council Africa has access to global best practices and the latest developments in international fibre technology.

The council supports government with issues such as policy and regulation, best practice and minimum standards through an independent voice. Members have a platform to apply creative thinking to FTTH technologies and applications best suited to the continent of Africa. All participants are informed about industry trends, success stories and are supported by the Council as much as possible. Networking opportunities are created to allow for easy collaboration and to create a platform where best practise frameworks can be discussed – creating an environment that is in the best interest of all.

Furthermore, the Council encourages dialogue between government and private sector from a podium that is independent and product agnostic.

The mission of the FTTH Council Africa is to see the adoption of fibre deployments by all broadband stakeholders, thereby enhancing the lives of all people living on the continent of Africa.
