Migrating to the AFRINIC IRR Database Workshop

Session description:

This is a hands-on session conducted by the AFRINIC team for technical contacts of AFRINIC resource users. If you are involved in the administration of Internet resources administered by AFRINIC, or which you need to migrate to AFRINIC, this workshop will benefit you. It will include:

  • One-to-one attention provided to participants wishing to create route objects and ROAs (relating to RPKI) to secure their routing infrastructure.
  • Assistance with Route Object Migration from other Internet Routing Registries (IRRs) such as RIPE and RADB to the AFRINIC IRR.
  • Discussion of how to update and work with routing policies on the WHOIS and AFRINIC IRR.
  • Support to reset/update their organisation’s Maintainer object (if required).
  • Real-time checks for Route object creation and the impact of your ROA creation.
  • Provision of real-world feedback and examples to the participants.
