In the past few years, hundreds of new top-level domains have been added to the global domain name system. How do these new domains affect South Africa? What plans does ICANN have for the future of the GTLDs? Pierre Dandjinou is ICANN’s Vice President of Stakeholder Engagement for the Africa region, and will be providing an update on ICANN’s new GTLD programme as well as a look at ICANN’s outreach and engagement in the Africa region.
