Daniel Weeks -


Daniel Weeks is a co-founder of the Open Data and Democracy Initiative (ODADI), a new civic transparency project uniting open data activists across South Africa. A decade-long advocate for government transparency and accountability, he is Past President and Policy Advisor at Americans for Campaign Reform and is presently launching the South African Money and Politics Project (MAPP) based at the Open Society Foundation for South Africa. He has written and spoken extensively on democracy issues in national news media and is presently writing a book on democracy and poverty as a Safra Center for Ethics Fellow at Harvard. Daniel holds degrees in political science and philosophy from Yale and Oxford Universities.
