Dave got his first taste of IP networking while completing his studies for M.Eng (Data security) at the University of Pretoria in 2000. He then spent the next couple of years at Telkom, working as a specialist in software provisioning on the IPNet/SAIX network.
Subsequently he joined UUNET/Verizon designing and architecting bigger and global IP/MPLS networks, obtained his CCIE (Service Provider track) and finally ended up at MTN Business.
Dave has always had a passion for coding, and his biggest gripe is when employees have to do tedious and laborious tasks that can be automated.
It is for this reason that Dave co-founded a company and have since consulted for many ISP’s. He now spends most of his time focussing on SDN/NFV and network automation.
With his love for programming combined with his experience in networking, Dave’s mission for his company is to assist operators to automate their network operations using cutting edge technology.
