‘An English teacher by profession; an editor by trade ‘

Fiona has over 30 years’ experience in high school education, having taught in state and independent schools in South Africa and Zimbabwe.  In 2007 she “retired” as Principal of Holy Family College, Parktown, Johannesburg.

She is currently employed by UniForum SA to coordinate the Co.Za Cares project, an innovative, social investment programme whose main focus is the provision of computer laboratories, IT training for teachers and interactive learning materials for under-resourced South African schools.  In this capacity, Fiona co-chairs the ISPA Teacher Training Working Group.  She is also a freelance editor, specializing in the development and editing of interactive learning materials for children and adults.   An Associate of the Hieper Institute, Fiona is also involved in readiness, subject choice and career assessments in Gauteng high schools.
