Jack Unger -

President, Ask-Wi.Com, Inc.

Jack Unger is sometimes called the “grandfather” of the wireless ISP industry. Since founding Wireless InfoNet (now Ask-Wi.com) in 1993, he deployed one of the first wireless ISPs in the world (1995), trained over 3500 wireless industry personnel, served over 3000 client companies and wrote the first fixed wireless broadband industry handbook, “Deploying License-Free Wireless Wide-Area Networks” – published by Cisco Press in 2003. Today Mr. Unger continues to provide consulting and training for the wireless broadband industry. He also serves on the Board of WISPA, the Wireless ISP Association (U.S.) and as WISPA’s FCC Committee Chair. The FCC Committee directs WISPA’s lobbying strategy with the U.S. Government and advocates for more WISP spectrum and for better operating rules.
