Tony Parry - CEO - IITPSA


Tony Parry is the current CEO of the IITPSA (Institute of Information Technology Professionals South Africa), formerly Computer Society of South Africa (CSSA) and is a part-time (sessional) Lecturer in Technology & Information Management for the Wits Business School’s Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PDM). In addition, he is an approved Wits University external examiner of Master’s degree dissertations covering topics related to his areas of experience and expertise. Tony is the current interim Chairperson of the Governance and Security Chamber of the National ICT Forum (DTPS) and he represents the IITPSA on the Board of the MICT SETA.

Having spent the last almost thirty years in the ICT profession, nineteen of them with the Barloworld Group and around ten of them at Group IT Manager and CIO level, Tony has a keen interest in all things ICT. His current passion is that of managing knowledge and leveraging it to create and retain value in an organisation.

Tony is a member of ACM and IPM (SA), is a Fellow of IoDSA and is a Professional Member of the IITPSA. He holds an Honours degree from Wits and an MBA from Henley in the UK.

Tony is married and has one son, who is a second year student in Applied Computing at the University of the Witwatersrand.
