Amreesh joined the African Network Information Center – AFRINIC in January 2011. In his current role as R&D Engineer, his main focus areas are Internet security and Internet measurements in Africa. Between 2011 and 2014, he headed the software development team as Applications Unit Manager, where he was responsible of the development and maintenance of various software components that support AFRINIC’s internal processes and services to members.
Prior to joining AFRINIC, Amreesh worked as a Guest Researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Maryland, USA, where he participated in research in the field of computational biology. He has an M.Eng in Computer Science from Telecom Nancy, France and an Msc in Information Security from the Royal Holloway, University of London, UK. His areas of focus are Internet measurements, resource certification (RPKI) and DNSSEC.
