Cybersecurity Workshop (part 1)

Session description:

This is the first half of a two-part workshop on cybersecurity, convened by ISPA to review activities in the sector, and debate future collaboration between ISPA members, government and other industry bodies.

In the first half of the workshop, three invited presenters will be giving updates on different sector initiatives:

• Dr Kiru Pillay – Chief Director Cybersecurity Operations: Department of Telecommunications and Postal Services will be giving an update on the operational of the national cybersecurity hub, and plans for the future.
• Refilwe Ramatlo – Manager: Policy Development and Research Department: ICASA will be outlining ICASA’s cybersecurity mandate, and looking at how this affects licensees and ISPs
  
• Henry van Jaarsveld – Senior Manager: CSIRT, SABRIC will be providing an update on the banking sector’s CSIRT initiative.
  
• Dominic Cull – Ellipsis Consulting will be providing an update on the Cybercrimes Bill, with particular attention to the impact on ISPs.
