Introduction to ICASA: Codes and Regulations

Session description:

This is a two-part workshop, providing a broad overview of South Africa’s telecommunications regulatory framework, including the Electronic Communications Act, licences and ICASA’s role. William Stucke served as an ICASA Councillor from 2011 to 2014. In the second parts of the workshop, he will be looking at the various Codes that ICASA has published and how these apply to the WASP sector. He will also take a high-level look at a variety of ICASA regulations applicable to WASPs and look at how ICASA deals with consumer complaints.
