Andrew Sullivan - Fellow, Dyn


Andrew Sullivan is a Fellow at Dyn, an Internet Performance Management company with headquarters in New Hampshire, USA. He is also the current chair of the Internet Architecture Board or IAB. The IAB provides long-range technical direction for Internet development, ensuring the Internet continues to grow and evolve as a platform for global communication and innovation.

Andrew’s primary areas of specialization have been databases, distributed data systems (including the Domain Name System), and Internet protocols. He also concentrates on Internet internationalization, and was Program Lead for the IAB’s Internationalization Program before becoming IAB chair. He has worked in the Domain Name System field since 2001, when he was among the group who launched the .info TLD.

Andrew started working with Dyn in 2012 as Director of Labs, and held positions as Director of DNS and Principal Architect before being named Fellow in 2014. He holds a BA from the University of Ottawa and an MA from McMaster University, both in Philosophy. He lives in Toronto, Canada.
