Clive Fagan - General Manager


Clive has been in the IT field for 50 years mostly in General Management and management of IT projects.
He has spent some 20 years involved in electronic publishing systems in the newspaper and magazine industry where he pioneered the introduction of electronic editing system into major newspaper groups.

He is a Professional Membership of the Computer Society of South Africa (PMCSSA), a Member of the South African Institute of Management (MSAIM), was a Member of the American Management Association (MAMA). He was a Director and EXCO member of the Computer Society of South Africa until May 2012.

He has an extensive understanding of Business Management and Analysis, as well as Project Management.

In his day was a systems analyst and a programmer.

He was an independent Consultant for some 20 years and has been the General Manager of the South African Number Portability Company since it’s inception in 2006, being involved in the set-up and running of the company.

He introduced the first virtualised NP system in the world by implementing a private Cloud with Oracle Virtual Server and VMware vSphere virtualisation software. He has published Text books on Management Information Systems and Management of Systems for a tertiary institution.

He has presented IT papers and articles in IT related magazines.

He has a passion for travel and great restaurants and is a bit of an amateur foodie.
