I started my IT career back in November 2000. I very quickly realized that I had a passion for IT Networking, and furthered my career starting by obtaining my Cisco CCNA. I became the Network and Security Engineer for a South African Government Department, looking after the networking and firewalling interests of 170+ branches country-wide.
In 2007 I was offered the opportunity to work for SecureData Africa (now known as Tarsus SecureData; member of the Tarsus Technology group). At SecureData Africa I was the team lead for their Security Consultants/Pre-Sales Engineering Team, and focused on Juniper Networks and Websense as my specialized products. Since May this year I have been working for Juniper Networks, an Innovation Network company. This is very exciting times for the Internet. I am keen to see where the next 5 years will take the world.
