Johan has started Safricom about 10 years ago as a WISP based in Potchefstroom. He is an entrepreneur at heart and is always looking for opportunities to take the Internet to new places. He also loves building new things like Gigabit Fibre Networks.
He has studied and lived in the USA for ten years. He enjoys being back in South Africa and has fun doing the Iron Man or swimming the Midmar Mile with his wife and three daughters. He has a MA in Theology from Covenant Seminary in St Louis MO, and a MA in Land Economics and Real Estate from Texas A&M.
