Thomas Nel is based in Johannesburg South Africa as CommScope’s Director of Sales for Sub-Saharan Africa for the Enterprise Business. In his current role Thomas is responsible for all sales across the region including commercial support to the business partner and end user community across Sub-Saharan Africa. Thomas started his career with CommScope as Technical Manager and gained a good understanding of telecommunications and data networks in this role. He has been involved both technically and commercially in many of the largest Data Center and Enterprise Building projects on the African Continent over the past 8 years.
Prior to joining CommScope in 2008, Thomas began his career with a start-up IT Infrastructure Outsourcing business focused on infrastructure monitoring and management and gained a solid grounding in IT networking and infrastructure administration.
Thomas holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg South Africa. He is also a BICSI accredited Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD).
